The Global Trek Aviation Cardiff FBO welcomed the delivery of a brand new Hybrid GPU (Ground Power Unit) during November. This significant investment is part of the Global Trek Aviation Group GSE modernisation programme and brings benefits with both noise and carbon reduction. This is the second Hybrid GPU brought into service this year with the first one being delivered to the Global Trek Aviation Belfast FBO.
David McColm, Group Managing Director commented “ As we look at reducing the carbon footprint of our overall operation, we started where we believed the biggest savings on carbon can be found. This was with our GPU fleet.” David added “The New Hybrid GPUs have jointed new air stairs and tugs brought onto the fleet during 2023 with more planned modernisation for 2024.”
